What kinds of businesses can use Ordermakers?

Any business that takes custom, made-to-order jobs from clients. That includes custom apparel and embroidery shops, cake and bakery studios, woodworkers and sign makers, screen printers, jewellers, costume shops, craft hobbyists, and anyone else who collects specs from clients and produces something bespoke.

Can clients fill in their own order details?

Yes. You generate a self-entry link for the order and send it to the client. They enter every spec — size, flavour, dimensions, inscription, or whatever fields you configure — and the data lands in your order without any re-keying. You can also enter information yourself or bulk-import from a spreadsheet.

How does proof approval work?

You upload the proof image against the order. The client receives a notification and reviews it in their portal. They can approve it, request changes, or pin annotation comments directly on the artwork. Every version and approval is stored with a timestamp and the approver's name.

What if I don't want to use online payments?

Online payment collection is optional. You can record deposits and balance payments manually — marking them paid when collected in person, by check, cash, or bank transfer. The payment tracking and order status flow work the same regardless.

Is SMS included or extra?

SMS is an optional add-on on the Base plan. On the Pro tier, unlimited SMS is included in the flat rate. Both tiers include full email notifications at no extra cost.

How does split payment work?

Add multiple payers to any order — a group organiser, a business client, individual customers. Each payer gets a unique payment link. You see real-time status per payer and can send targeted reminders with one click.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Export a ZIP of CSV files for your orders, clients, specs, and payment records at any time. No export limits or fees. Your data is yours.
